2000. I'll tell you the same thing I tell everybody about this painting. It seems to pacify even the most offended of viewers, or, at least, it confuses them enough that they forget about being offended. This painting is a British piece, Folks think differently over there. It's also the third in a series known as "the Lion Picnic Ride-Thru Spoof Series". And it's a True Story that really happened.","When the Snake Oil Medicine Show crossed the Pond, late in the Summer of 1999, we were set to stay in a house in Beckingham, called "the Villa". It was built in 1600 and legend has it that the house is haunted by the Ghosts of an Old Man and a Little Boy. Both were inhabitants of the Villa during different centuries. Their names respectively are Lord Wiggy and Lloyd Warbler. After an all night trans-Atlantic flight and a mad day of driving a rented mini-bus (on the wrong side of the road) all over London, plus another three hours up the country to Beckingham, we were quite tired and just wanted a little bite to eat. So we cruised down to the local pub, the Pack Horse. They didn't have any food there to speak of, only cold Cobs( a bun with a slice of cheese or tomatoe on it). Our stomachs were about to self-digest when a little fellow, sitting at a booth called us over. He turned out to be the Landlord of the Villa and he was drinking many Guinnesses. We joined him, figuring that maybe the Guinness would fill our bellies for a while and it tasted so good! That little fellow expounded to us about the ghosts. We all listened and laughed, we thought he was just trying to scare us Green-horn Yanks (or Septics as those in Merry Olde like to call people from the States). After several more Guinness beers and a meal of King Prawns and Pasta, from the Villa's cabinets, we wearily turned in. It was to be an eventful night.
